Paneer cheese butter Masala is delicious Punjabi curry which is made from brown gravy, cottage paneer and cheese. I was trying to make this curry in restaurant style, but I was failed every time.
One day I was discussing this thing with my cousin and she told me the recipe about this. She used to make this gravy using cashew nuts and khus khus instead of magajtari na beej.
But When I was deciding to make this. There are no cashew nuts or khus khus at my home so I replaced it with magajtari na beej. And this is worked very well so it’s great for me.
So I want to share this easy and delicious recipe with you all!!! I hope you liked it!!!!
Serves: 3 Persons
Preparation Time: 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 30 Minutes
For the Gravy:
2 Small Onion, Chopped
2 Small Tomatoes, Chopped
2-3 Garlic cloves, Crushed
1 Tablespoon Oil
1 Teaspoon Fresh Cream
2 Teaspoon Magajatari na Beej
For Paneer Cheese Butter Masala
½ Onion, chopped in Triangle or Square Pieces
½ Capsicum, chopped in Triangle or Square Pieces
2 Teaspoon Oil
1 Bowl Prepared Gravy
1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
Salt as per Taste
100 Grams Paneer, Cube
100 Grams, Cheese, Cube
1 Teaspoon Coriander Leaves
1 Teaspoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi)
Water as Per Required
First of all, Take a nonstick pan and pour oil on medium Flame. Oil is hot enough, add crushed garlic and chopped onion. Sauté it till it turns golden brown in color.
Then Add chopped tomatoes and magajtari na beej. Stir it for 2-3 minutes or till Oil is leaving from it. Keep a side for 5 minutes.
Take a blender and put above prepared mixture and fresh cream. Blend it till it becomes smooth paste.
Put again nonstick pan on medium flame. Add oil and square or triangle onion and capsicum in it. Saute it for 1-2 Minutes.
Pour prepared gravy, needed water, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Mix properly. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
In other hand, Take a pan and put oil on slow flame. Add paneer cubes in it and shallow fry it till it turns golden brown color.
Then add kashmiri red chili powder in it. And Pour it in aboved prepared curry. Give a quick stir.
Add coriander leaves and Dried Fenugreek Leaves. Stir and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
Put cheese cubes. And pour it in serving bowl and garnish with cheese cubes and dried fenugreek leaves.
Delicious Punjabi curry is ready serve with Parotha/Naan Or rice.
If you want to make Paneer butter Masala then no need to add cheese, same thing for cheese butter masala. I love to eat panner and cheese at same time.
